Short Description
NEDCON MARITIME is recruiting Design/Naval Engineer for shipyard abroad. Required: - Rank experience - Experienced with shipyard repair projects - Flexibility - Good English knowledge. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with project managers and planners to develop repair plans and schedules. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technicians, welders, electricians, and inspectors, to ensure smooth project execution. - Provide technical guidance and support to all employees involved. - Use AutoCAD software and engineering principles to create detailed repair plans, drawings, and specifications. - Analyse existing ship structures and systems to identify repair requirements. - Propose design modifications and improvements for safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. - Determine the appropriate materials, coatings, and equipment needed for repairs. - Collaborate with procurement teams to source and purchase materials within budget constraints. - Implement quality control procedures to ensure repairs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Conduct inspections and testing to verify the quality of repairs and installations. - Ensure that all repair activities adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations. - Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to ship repairs and ensure compliance. - Maintain detailed records of repair projects, including design documents, change orders, and inspection reports. - Prepare regular progress reports for management and clients. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. - Proven experience in ship repair or marine engineering. - Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant engineering tools. - Strong knowledge of ship systems, structures, and materials. - Excellent project management and organizational skills. - Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work. - Willingness to relocate
